Lillian Bell has written an enjoyable murder mystery.  The story takes place in a family owned funeral home. Two sisters have inherited the business from their father who disappeared a few years ago and is believed to be dead.  Desiree, one of the sisters, is a journalist at heart with a nose for wrongdoing and news. It is a problem when you start thinking that some of your clients have been murdered and are not simply dead.  Desiree is sure that two of her clients have been murder and her father is still alive. There are lots of twists and turns, many of them surprising. One might call Desiree obsessed in terms of her missing/dead father but perseverance pays off in this whodunit.

This is the type of book I like reading when I have spent a lot of time reading those deep thinking, learning, serious books and need a break.  The kind of enjoyable read one chooses for the weekend, rainy day, or beach read. The bad news is that the book is not available until September 11, 2018.  The good news is that you can put it on your “to read list”.  #Netgalley
