Heirs of Jior is the third book in a series by Wendy L. Anderson. Although this is part of a series, I believe it also works well as a stand alone read. Anderson continues in her amazing ability to weave romance, fantasy and battles into intriguing stories in this novel that actually has three parts to it. Just as the title states, the book follows the adult lives of King Lorn and and Queen Lililaira’s three children: Lyra Song, Vannier, and Dark Star.
The book is broken into three sections, one for each of the three heirs to Jior. They are written in Anderson’s usual poetic flow with depth and the ability to help the reader visualize the most amazing scenes. The characters come to life in a way in which you cannot help but feel a deep connection with each of them. The stories tell of the tales of their adventures, the meeting of their beloved and the changes in the kingdom of Jior.
I am passionate about Wendy L. Anderson’s books. They are all wonderfully written, with amazing characters, story lines and fantastic settings. I am baffled that people are not waiting in line to buy her books. Seriously, do not wait to read any of her books. I promise you will not regret it. By the way, I have never met Anderson and receive nothing for these reviews, I can be trusted. Read the books.
Can’t agree with you more about this author. Her books are so rich in story and characters. This one is still in my To Be Read pile and I keep moving it ahead of other books as I can’t wait to get back into her world!
