This is an action/adventure good read.  I have not read anything about Canada that I can remember and to be honest, I never hear much about it so when I picked this up, I had no idea what I was in for.  I was pleasantly thrilled to find a very well written novel with a main character who was intelligent, physically able, well trained and a woman. Diana Hunter works for the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and is one of their top agents.  Ten years ago Diana was kidnapped by a hired serial killer, nicknamed The Surgeon, who tortured her before letting her go. She has never forgotten nor relaxed knowing that he is still out there.

Diana and her partner Peter have worked together less than a year but due to the strength of their partnership, they work like a fine-tuned instrument.  The Surgeon is back and the only way to catch him is to use Diana as bait. The tension moves the reader forward with each twist and turn as Diana and Peter work together in this fast-paced novel.  A terrific beach, poolside, vacation read you won’t be able to put down!
