Wow!  So much food for thought!  Kroes has written an amazing book full of hardcore information on the current condition of the Earth.  With chapters on such topics as deforestation, water, mineral shortages, and even the nitrogen cycle, Kroes covers everything you can think of and even rates them as to what is the most serious issue to the least.  I never even thought about the Nitrogen cycle! He even addresses social issues.

I was really amazed at the depth he goes to, how easy it is to read and understand, and the research he did to write the book.  Kroes does not stop at explaining the issues but actually provides actions for both long-term and short-term solutions. This is a powerful read that has the potential to bring about very positive changes both in the human race and for the earth.
