Based on the scriptural text of Jesus saying that the second most important thing to do is love your neighbor, this book provides you with step by step ways in which to carry this out. The book is well written, easy to follow and makes a strong point that many issues in our current world would not be if we truly acted with love toward our neighbors. The idea is really very simple. Beginning with a grid of 9 squares, put your home in the middle and label the 8 houses closest to yours with the names of those who live there. I would imagine that most people cannot do this, I certainly couldn’t.
From that point on, the premise is that we can build a community with those in closest proximity. It is a fascinating theory and one that would work if everyone was committed to the concept. You certainly have to be willing to put yourself out there and follow up with responsibility and vulnerability. This book will challenge you to live outside the box and with an open mind.

Since no one is behind us, I’d only need to label 5. I can name 3 and say I know 2. New goal and new addition to my to be read pile!
