Bang Switch finds Kate Darby healing from her rather serious physical wounds and needing to work on the mental aspects of what all she has been through as a victim. Kate must come to grips with the fact that she is human and has been through a horribly tragic event. In addition, being the cop that she is, Kate is anxious to get back to work and determined to find out who was behind her attack. Scott does a great job of weaving the threads together for a complicated story of small-town Texas cops and the challenge to deal with the Mexican Drug Cartels.
If you follow my blog, you will remember that not long ago I read the first book in this series, Angry Betty. I very much enjoyed it but was frustrated that the book ended without wrapping up the various plots in the story. Well this book, the second in the series, does a great job of wrapping it all up. I also want to admit that I would rather read 2 books around 250 pages each than one book of 500 pages. 500 pages also sound rather daunting to me. Having said all of that – Bang Switch is a terrific solid ending to the story.
