Baldwin is one of my favorite Young Adult authors.  I love the way he blends the reality of being a teenager with the fun of solving mysteries.  Everything from budding first loves, studying for tests, playing sports, family issues and in the midst of life, being keenly aware of a crime mystery that needs to be solved. In this fun novella, Marcus and Alissa are helping out with the annual Christmas Bazaar when the silent auction big-ticket item goes missing and the man that won it is ready to attack Marcus’ Mom who happens to be the PTSA President and in charge of the event.  The two are not about to let Marcus’ Mom go down for the disaster, so off they go to solve the mystery of where the item is. Besides, they have a suspicion it has something to do with the guy in the football jersey that keeps lurking around.  This is definitely an entertaining holiday read!
